At Maneki, we believe that Eroom's Law, which states that the cost of developing a new drug increases exponentially over time, can be reversed through the use of digital collectives and on-chain Digital Collective governance. By equitably incentivizing the people who create most of the value in the research and development process, namely researchers and patients, we can drive down the cost of innovation and make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.
To achieve this goal, Maneki is building a platform that enables patient communities and researchers to collaborate and govern a shared treasury of donation funds used for research. Through Digital Collectives and on-chain governance, these groups will be able to vote on proposals, share governance, and ensure that funding is allocated to the most promising and impactful projects.
We believe that this approach has the potential to reverse Eroom's Law and create a more sustainable and equitable healthcare system. By empowering patients and researchers to drive innovation, we can overcome the barriers that have traditionally hindered progress in the field and create new treatments and therapies that benefit all people.
At Maneki, we are committed to helping patients and researchers reverse Eroom's Law and create a more equitable and sustainable healthcare system through the use of digital collectives and on-chain DAO governance. We believe that this approach has the potential to drive progress and improve the lives of people around the world.
Zero control, 0% of ownership o value given for a lot of value added, inequitable
After donating visibility and direction of funds is lost, researchers and patients cant control direction of funds
Difficult to impossible to self-jumpstart research
Collaborative Tools
Costs too high, many diseases overlooked (Eroom's Law)
Optimal Funding
