For Patients
Drug development needs to shift to have a central focus on patients.
Maneki empowers patients to have ownership and control over the drug development process by creating disease-specific IP collectives that are owned and controlled by holders of privacy-preserving Proof of Medical Condition (POMC) tokens.
Maneki offers a collaborative platform for researchers and patients to connect directly, enabling patients to actively participate in the research process and contribute valuable data on rare diseases. Maneki also provides tools to help patients self-jumpstart research, breaking down barriers to progress and increasing the chances of finding treatments for rare diseases. By using POMCs, Maneki ensures that patient data is securely stored and only shared with the appropriate parties. Overall, Maneki is creating a more equitable and efficient system for drug development, giving patients the power and financial benefit they deserve for their valuable contributions.
Take back control of the funds donated to your disease, vote on proposals and control the direction and spending of donation funds
Lower barriers to entry for patients, promoting diversity and inclusivity in scientific research.
Ensure research integrity and transparency, preventing research fraud and bias.
Improve the reliability and credibility of scientific research, resulting in more reliable and robust findings.
Why patients like Maneki
Ability to be the deciders of how the money donated to their disease is spent, through voting on proposals and privacy preserving Proof of Medical Condition tokens
Ability to access researchers and see their data actively used in studies as well as realizing the value of their data
Equitable distribution of IP through a digital collective and permanent retention of IP.
User Flow
Patient’s can log into the site and upload documents to verify their condition and receive a Proof of Medical Condition token (POMC)
Patient’s instantly can join their POMC’s unique DAO and receive a voting stake that is primarily used to:
Fund a particular lab or researcher
Amend or change the Governance of that particular DAO
Patient DAOs have a treasury and a governance algorithm that bases their voting stake on the relative social reputation they hold within the DAO, this is based on a up-vote down-vote system (better reputation systems out there?)
Patient’s are able to participate in a chat with other patients who hold their same POMC, that chat being exclusively only for the holders of the POMC
Patient’s can donate directly to their DAO and receive reputation for it, however whether you donate $1000 or $1 does not change the amount of reputation you receive
