Meta-DAOs can play a role in decentralized science by providing a decentralized governance structure for scientific research projects and communities. For example, a meta-DAO could be used to coordinate the activities of a network of researchers working on a particular scientific problem or issue, or to manage the allocation of resources and funding for research projects.

Decentralized science has the potential to democratize the scientific process and enable more researchers to participate in and contribute to scientific research, regardless of their location or institutional affiliations. By leveraging decentralized technologies and meta-DAOs, scientists and researchers can collaborate more effectively and efficiently, and can access and share resources and knowledge in a decentralized manner.

Maneki provides a fee-based marketplace for the multitude of data that can be shared among-st its users. Users on the platform pay directly to creators, avoiding a large take rate of middlemen. A segment of fees generated will be injected back into the various rare diseases DAOs on the platform called the mega fund kickback.
